Harbour Porpoise

Harbour Porpoise are the smallest Cetacean found in UK waters and they feed primarily on small, shoaling pelagic fish such as Herring and Sprat. When diving, they tend to take three shallow dives followed by a fourth which is deeper and may last up to 5 minutes. Unlike there larger dolphin cousins, Harbour Porpoise are shy and wary of boats and tend to swim away when approached.
